Microsoft Word is well-known and widely used by companies, institutions, and individuals. The thing is that Microsoft Word costs quite a bit. Now, if you don’t have the money to get Word, you can get a more affordable alternative – like Simple Words, a good looking and easy to use text editor that has powerful features to offer.

A setup wizard will help you install Simple Words on your Windows-powered computer. I want to bring up the fact that the setup wizard will ask you to select the file types that Simple Words will automatically open. You can associate the text editor with the following formats: DOC, DOCX, EPUB, ODT, RTF, and TXT.

Recently opened files are presented as thumbnails on the right hand side of the application’s interface.
Buttons to open a supported format and to create a new document are presented on the left hand side of the application’s interface. Buttons to minimize the application, go full screen, and exit the application are presented in the upper right hand side.

Overall, the interface is quite easy to use. By using this user friendly interface you can create new documents that include custom text with custom formatting, images, hyperlinks, headers, footers, bookmarks, custom layout, and more. To make sure you don’t make any embarrassing mistakes, Simple Words features a built-in spellchecker. When you’re done creating your new document, you can save it or print it out.

Simple Words is an affordable, not a free alternative to Microsoft Word. You can use Simple Words for free, for evaluation purposes, for a trial period of 30 days.

Thanks to Simple Words you can view, edit and create DOC, DOCX, EPUB, ODT, RTF, and TXT documents.
